well its bit chilly for it all... but is there anything i should be getting planted yet, i have a veg patch, and an unheated greenhouse. with a heated frame inside i want to grow some french beans potatoes in bags or tubs, should i consider any growing or wait patiently...
I'm not at all green fingerd but run the school gardening club, we've done nought yet due to the weather. Such a shame when we go back tidy up start planting it will be the summer hols and no one around to look after it.
Same as TW - I've got spuds chitting - supposed to plant them out late March. Think they'll be waiting a while yet! I like growing veg but really haven't thought about it much yet cos of the cold
been told this on.. a n other forum.... Spuds should be in by now... if you bury them about 4 inches on a bed of well rotted manure that should keep the frost off them. Tomatoes and chillies should be planted already in pots on the windowsill or in a heated propogator. It's edging on being too late for both. _________________
I`ve been planting like mad ,your time will come folks be patient .... if new shoots of spuds is exposed to the frost they will die but they will come again [hopefully]...
