Yes, I was involved in the design & execution of the Escort 3 - a triumph for NVH.

Yep, that's a real thing.

 

We do similar stuff at work to test the communications equipment we make for aircraft and satellites. In my lab there are ovens for heating parts to a precise temperature while they are run, and then they go to another facility that has those vibration stations.

We used to use their kit for handset acoustic testing. Good...but pricey.
