  1. i have a vaillant ecotech combi boiler and i want to fit a wireless room thermostat
    the stat is a boss bps242rf and the wiring instructions are very poor
    all it says is:
    LX = Common
    L1 = Live feed to item to be controlled
    L2 = Changeover contact
    L = Live
    N = Neutral

    any ideas?

    L&N on boiler to L&N controller
    Link L to LX on controller
    RT on boiler to L1 on controller

    It is a rebranded siemans RDJ10RF and is more trouble than it is worth. It will flash up low battery in a couple of months. The batteries are fine. Slide them out and back in and it will work for another week or 2. Then some times it will loose contact with the receiver and have to be reset which is more hastle.

    should work if your boiler has been set up for a stat

    I just do the controls baggy is your man to confearm
    If you are not sure what you are doing get some one in you could do a lot of damage

  6. Hey matty what make of rf stat would you recommend?

    Sorry for hijack!

  7. Remove the link between 3 & 4 on the boiler terminals.

    L = L
    N = N
    LX = 3
    L1 = 4

  10. I've got an eco tec plus and I have the vailant wireless controller vrt392f, not the cheapest, it's in a holiday home and I have vrdialog so I can monitor and control it remotely, the software communicates with the vrt392f as well as the boiler. I think this type of controller integrates more closely with the boiler so the boiler knows what the roomtemperature is so it can adapt the amount of heat needed to maintain the desired temperature which is a bit more advanced than the simple binary on/off controllers
    Its been very reliable so far.

  11. I have the Vaillant Ecotec coupled with the Honeywell CM927 RF. No problems 2+ yrs in FWIW.
