  1. Hi all

Now i like tinkering welding and removing mini n old vw engines, but my 2007 ford c max tdci is something i dont like touching!! My glow plugs are on the way out and i cant be arsed with the bother if replacing them myself, anyone had them done on thiers? And what did it cost?

    :)

  2. Anyone?

Anyone with a tdi lump of some sort?

  3. Dont know about glow plugs, aren't they the diesel equivalent of spark plugs, cant be that hard to do though?
My missus has a Mitsubishi Grandis which has a vw 2.0 16v tdi engine, I'm just about to clean out the egr, engine light comes on and the code says insufficient air flow. I would never have attempted this myself a coupe of years ago, but with the power of google+youtube and my recently found confidence after tinkering about with the van I think I'm better off doing it myself so I know its been cleaned properly and not just had enough of the crud poked out so the light stays off which will lead to the same problem a few months down the road.

  4. Thx mate ive been on focus forum n apparently its a PITA job :(

  5. Sorry to hear that, sometimes its worth paying someone who's done it before and can do it in an hour or two rather than attempt it yourself and take all day or screw it up and cause damage

  6. Yeah my thoughts exactly!:)

  7. find a decent garage that charges half the price of a ford garage and get them to do it.
how old is the car... the lad had turbo trouble on his apparently its a common problem and about 800 quid to fix.
