Any Arty people on here? Drawing, Painting, Pastels etc

  1. Just wondering if there are any other arty people on here as I thought it might be nice to post up some of our work.
I took up drawing at the end of last year and work mainly in graphite and coloured pencils and since it's winter and my main subject is animals I work mostly from photos, although I am considering having ago with pastels but they are expensive to start up so not sure if I will or not. I also want to do more drawing on location when away in the van. I still class myself as very much a beginner although I am proud of my drawings so far.

I just finished a short evening course which comes to an end next week and as none of my friends are into anything art related I am going to miss the chit chat and feedback more than anything else, I had a look on some art forums but none were that active so I thought as TLB is a varied bunch there may be some peeps on here. If there are enough of us I could always ask to have a seperate section like the photography one? Just an idea.

  2. I'm not particularly arty, but think you should just post it up anyway. Like you say, we're such a varied bunch on here you're bound to get some feedback, and it might even inspire others to have a go :)

post away, my many boxes of art materials have been boxed up ever since i told my a level art teacher he was a tit (in much harsher terms) when i finally get my lad shed finished i plan on spending more time rekindling my artiness. pastels and oils were my thing!

  4. Ive done some commissioned graphite and whire pencil drawings for some members of the aston martin owners club, which earned me a fair whack, i just wish i had the time to do more, but with a 16 week old little boy, spare time is sparce unfortunately! Lol

This was a commission for an Aston owner who had a rare POW (Prince of Wales) spec Volante and he wanted it outside the legendary Sunny Side building in Newport Pagnell, this is A2 size and earned me £2000

Hopefully I will get back into it very soon and I will offer my services on here for anyone who wants a drawing done of their bus, with maybe their house int he background or what ever really.

I'm happy to take commissions on my MS Paint rendered artwork (published on this very site) - but you have to pass a 'cool' test before I might consider your custom.

Alternatively I can take the Manzoni approach to filling a tin can....
