  1. Ok so I started out 10ish years ago with my first bay which as I now our wedding van as I run a Vw hire company is now our fully restored wedding van some of you will have seen on the slammed o r a n n g e thread . But that's no longer my van as its been put into the business so of course I needed a van back for me and the family to use so here it is . Found it in the back garden of a Yorkshire man sat there rotting away looking in a sorry state .was told it was rotten ,needed lots of work doing , wouldn't pass a mot ect I went to view it after 10 seconds I bought it ! It hasn't been started up for over 18months ! What's the worst that can happen ? So after it been on charge for a while ..... Started up on the button no encuragement needed . Drove it from Barnsley to Salford in a Oner and don't miss a beat straight to the mot station where it sailed through (no advisorys)! So I took it to my mates over at rapid rodent racing Santa pod and we fitted a fully rebuilt 1641 twin webber engine ect narrowed beam dropped spindles 17'' radars and some 185/35/17 ! i know .... mega thin but surprisingly a good ride !. wanting to hear from anyone running 17s to see what size tyre there running on the rear as these don't get the best gear ratio so looking at going a bit bigger

  2. Converted it over to wide 5 for the rims and now here she is looking pretty rad

  3. cant beat radars! make any bus look soo damn cool! good choice! is is hard to swap to wide 5 hubs? what happens with brakes etc? cheers

  4. Hi @brucieboy . Cheers for your comments . No not really I got the materials and parts from t2d but really it's just late split hubs that have been lathed down and then a spacer fitted on the back edge and then just all late split beaks I think it was £250 for the full kit and there's nothing to it really just swap over

  5. Also the front beam is a late split beam with dropped spindles and split hubs

  6. Very nice bus

  7. The 17's look great on that. It's inspiring me to go for a larger wheel on mine.

I think I got a Mk2 gti off you about 5 years ago, I had an early Westy at the time.

  8. Hi mate yes you did the blue vr6 ? This bus is currently for sale as I have bought a split if any of you are interested

  9. Maybe time for another rad ride off me mate what you reckon ? @Philsn

  10. I'd be up for that pal. Mine's running like a bag of spanners at the moment, with very little compression. I'm going to pull the engine at weekend and delve in, unless you know of a decent type 4 engine for sale?

It was a black 16v I got off you for my brother.

  11. Mate this is a wicked van and engine puuurs like a dream . Body work could do with a bit of a tidy but only in a spot or 2 and it's pretty damn solid . It has all new running gear underneath but too much to say on here . Are you on Facebook so I can send you the spec ect ? Or give me a txt 07718140863

  12. Yeah I remember the black valver ;)

  13. Autocorrect on my phone pal, should of said He'd be up for that ( my bro ). I'll forward it to him and pass your number on.
