  4. Looks clean dude! Is that 16v lump for it? Got any more pics? :D

  5. Hmm, yes, that does look suspiciously like an AFH! :)

  6. That's what I was thinking if it is it will shift with that in it I am on the look out for one to drop into mine! ;)

  7. I am not saying anything! I have to stop looking at Car and Classic for the same reason! If I had pot of money and a massive Barn I would be buying shed loads of erm sheds right now everyone is ditching classics for peanuts!

    Looks good btw!

  8. i believe it is, but being true to the way i always buy cars on a whim, ive never seen it,
i dont know what the 2 engines coming with it are, what year it is, or anything else really!!
all i know is all the weldings been done so it just needs paint and then one of the engines dropping in/wiring up and it will be sorted

and considering i have access to a ramp and a booth, it should be done relatively soon! well, soon after ive finished the bus...
and finished the car i bought for my mum through its MOT.... and paid my rent... ha!

  9. I like these polo coupes keep searching eBay for them.

  10. That's not a polo coupe, it's a polo classic or derby. The polo coupe is a hatchback.

  11. i think the derby was the USDM name for them, like the golf being the rabbit over there..

  12. No, Derbys were only ever part of the Mk1 polo range. This is a Derby:

What you have is a Mk2 Polo, so it's proper name is the Polo Classic.

Sorry, I'll stop being a geek now - I used to be a member of Club Polo. ;)

  16. You can ask away, particularly if that is an AFH engine hanging on the engine crane in that photo. I had the car that engine was made for, the Mk4 Polo 16v, for over 5 years. It's a fabulous engine (which in the Mk4 polo had a rubbish gearbox to go with it. :( )

  17. Are you not still a member? I am still a active member but use it for info more than anything else! :D

  18. I'm a forum user, but my annual £5 membership lapsed a long time ago, and therefore my PM inbox is completely jammed on there. Stopped reading the forum when I realised I'll soon be twice as old as a lot of people on there  . Can't really use it for info anymore, as the Ibiza has an engine derived from the Mk3 Golf.

  19. turns out its a 1.4 16v 105bhp engine, and it also comes with the original 1.0 lump too :)
