Amazon

  1. Are there call handlers stupid
The Amazon courier keeps delivering our parcels to other random houses in the village
We’ve spoken to Amazon about it over and over again
I’ve caught hold of the drivers in the village to let them know and show them where we live
So for the umpteenth time it’s happened again.

Mrs para phones Amazon tells them it’s happening again and it’s been reported many times before
We got a notification with a photo showing the parcel at someone else’s house

Mr para tells them it’s not our house it’s been delivered somewhere else
They tell her it’s been delivered to the back door go and get it
Again that’s not our house that’s not our back door
They just keep asking her if our address is correct which it is and has been the same for a decade
They then say they can’t do anything and to wait 24 hours to see if our items get delivered they may be delayed

How the frig are they going to get delivered if they have already been delivered somewhere else

They are refusing a refund or sending more items out because they might get delivered

Round and round in circles banging head against wall

  2. I know someone who has exactly the same problem. His Amazon parcels get delivered to a house of the same number and street name, but about 10 miles away. Totally different post code. They have also contacted Amazon numerous times.

If they refuse to refund, your debit / credit card provider should be able to help.

Hit and miss with deliveries to our house. Some drivers are brill others just couldn’t care less. I think some of them have the job down to a tee and others get stressed about the amount of parcels they get and just mess everything up. It might be easier if the runs were better allocated and they had regular drivers on those runs.

I’ve never had a problem here, tbh.

I only get stuff delivered to Amazon lockers now, as the neighbours were doing very well out of us

Although the last time I did that, the locker opened, and was empty, so I reckon the driver liked the look of that one…

I’m amazed you found a contact number for Amazon tbh, I just get sent round in circles on their crappy AI help bot

I find answering the door, being polite, see if they need a drink or want to use the toilet improves how our items are delivered.

Pretty good here, but Evri proof of delivery photos are always a close up of the address label which is completely pointless.

Plus a photo proves nothing other than a photo has been taken , theres nothing to stop the delivery man simply picking up the parcel then ultimately taking it home to enjoy the content .

  12. They would have to deliver it to our house for us to be able to do that

None of the houses in our village have numbers, nor do the streets have name plates. Any deliveries be it Amazon, DPD, UPS et al are a bit of a lottery. The driver usually dumps the goods at the house nearest to where his satnav telling him he has reached his destination!

Luckily, some of the drivers are beginning to remember where our house is.

If you have a local/nearby post office get it delivered there with a notification.
Works well for me with ammonium.
Parcel force and Royal mail usually get it right to our home address.

That's if they're still at the door when you open it. The Amazon drivers have usually got back in their van or even already driven off.

Against the run of opinion, our Evri/Hermes drivers have been the better ones. They even ring me if no one answers.

Don’t use Amazon!! I refuse to because I don’t want to make tax avoiding git any wealthier. That’s without looking at the people who work for them, use them as a selling platform etc getting shafted along the way…. Allegedly

  19. Good old fashionned manneers works well in many situations ;)
And people are often surprised when you are kind and polite with them.
Our business's office is at my parent's, our neighbours have their parcels delivered their. It is safe, and keep contact between people too ;)
If you are not home all day and have a family shop nearby, that may be a solution?
