I promised Rickyroo I would write this if he was correct.

    He was.

Picture the scene - dash clocks used to work, but recently stopped working.

Must be the bulbs - even went and bought some from BettyBay (Ian) so that I could see the heady speed I can now reach.

Last night I was relaying this story to Rick, saying I might even wire in some form of dimmer so if they were too bright I could adjust them.

He smiled - was I aware that the light pull out switch turned and did just that - I should go and check he tells me.

    Doh :-[

  3. not a lot of people know that lol..

  4. I discovered it when I'd just bought my van. Told the owner the dash lights don't work, he told me about the dimmer and I'm now basking in the dim glow that is dash board lights on full power (until I can be bothered to fit the BB leds )

    Why do dash lights dim?

When I first found out about the dimmer I was really excited. Looking forward to turning them up, then I found that they were already at maximum brightness :(
