  1. About how upset i am over the brake up of my camper, he was my 1st buy of my own since the split of relationship, and i always wanted one, plus he was a tax ex.

I even got the bits and bobs for his inside too loooooooool

I spent hrs in him last year through the summer, stripping him, and getting all the paint off him that the peeps before hand painted, sooo many plans for him. looooooooooooooool

Awwwww well, i hope i feel the same for the new one, and Jacks little reg plait my friend got him will go in the new one so jack lives on hahaha

Will stop babbling now looooool :) :)

  2. think how the camper feels. If you'd spent hours stripping me i'd be gutted if you just dumped me on a scrap heap
    ;)

Have you thought of getting a second opinion + what was your budget to get him going?

  4. I came close to dumping mine i only went in to have a front panel issue sorted where filler had blown ended up finding it needed new seals both sides 2 new rear quarters new bit round windows and issues with both doors and sliding door so was gutted the guy who had done custom jobs before had purely done to cover up a heap of rubbish came close to torching was that angry but she had helped me through a rough time in my life so the least i could do was help her through hers so turned it in my favour as i now have bus of my dreams and i know it is all metal now with minimal filler so glad i hung in there

  5. I'd plough on regardless M8, just budget more both in time & money.
You could also learn to weld & do a lot yourself.
Ask the garage if you can keep the cost down by helping.

    Dear Dinky

When i bought my van Rhubarb i thought i had the steal of the year , i boasted to every one i knew about my bargain i even posted bragging pics on here .

A few weeks later i discovered the real extent of the rot , man i could of cried ,i did'nt i used my pig head and contacts to set about a renovation job .

A year later and £2000 lighter i had the welding finished , not the best welding but the best i could afford , i still have'nt finished her , i have a few niggly jobs to do but i am nearly there .

TO BE HONEST - i should have scrapped her for bits , i had paid £2800 for her and could have made my money back in parts , i SHOULD have bought something that required less work and been camping in it this year .

if you get another buy the best you can afford , i know exactly how you feel and its a mind numbing time .

No you have'nt over reacted , you have just been honest , keep up the honesty then you don't kid anyone most importantly yourself

It's always cheaper to buy a bus with bits that don't need doing, than doing the bits, but sadly some of us don't have all the money at once and can't wait. We but something that looks like we'd get a year or two out of it before facing up to the inevitable and hope for the best. And why not. :)
