Alternator on way out?

    I did come across a T1 alternator external regulator problem that turned out to be fractured cores in the regulator cable and a missing ground on the regulator - the OG crimps were held on only by the insulation of the wires, neatly hidden in some tidy black cable sheathing..

  2. Interesting! Mine had a crimp on a wire until a few months ago. Wonder if it has left some damage. Gonna take a look at that.

  3. Yes! Just 5 months on, I did the 2.5 minute job (made a cuppa whilst doing it, and took photos) and I can now see 14v when engine is running. Happy days :burp:
