I drove a customers Honda hybrid thing with IMA "integrated motor assist" very strange. Wasn't actually sure what the motor was doing or if I was on electric or gas. After looking on the www it seems the motor helps instead of using gas when you accelerate. However when you look at the mpg figures they don't really make you go wow and it seems a little pointless. Speaking of pointless, the auto stop start only works when you stop sharp. Bringing the car to a slow stop does not activate the system. Nor does idling for half an hour on the MOT ramp. Totally pointless. What I did like was the dashboard. Looked like a modern take on Knight Rider
is a US gallon bigger or smaller than uk cos the worst I get out of my C Max is around 30 and have had close to 50 and I dont hang around!
I reckon an aircooled engine would run on woodgas There was loads of research on vehicles running on it during the second world war
I nearly got run down by my neighbour's Toyota, a Prius or something like that. It was running on it's electric motor at the time. I couldn't hear it. Stepped out onto the road thinking there was nothing there and the guy had to swerve to miss me.
