Air Pipes....

  1. Hi, I have my first bus, a 1977 Bay with 2lit engine. I'm looking for information on how the air piped should be laid out. Has anyone got one of these vans that I can have some pics from, or a diagram of how this model is laid out please?

I attach below some pics of what is currently there and specifically a piece that just hangs to one side of the engine...

By the look of it someone has made some mods when, I think, they fitted a new carb

  2. You can remove all of that ,I think they only left in as to block off the warm air riser , I filled mine with a turned bit of Acetal . You can remove the cardboard tube as well as its left over from the twin solex that were originally there

  3. Thanks, does this mean that the heating won't work? I currently have heat but with some fumes so trying to resolve matters :'(
Also do you recognise the carbs that are now fitted?

  4. No you will still have heat ,the two card board tubes that come off the snail fan are for the heater ( booster) the long cardboard pipe going nowhere was for the old system
