I certainly do, sorry the vw FI manual calls it one thing but the rest of the world calls it another. Air flow meter please and thank you
Don't want to make out like I was correcting you. Just want to make sure people know what you want. The samba will be your best bet
Hi, pkrboo, no probs, correct away. davidoft, mine's not working Part number from ratwell is 'Air Flow Meter, 0 280 200 020' I've followed the VW troubleshooting guide and the FI wasn't working originally as my fuel pump was broke, I fitted a replacement, (cheers bigrich), and that now works...but still no engine running...Following the troubleshooting again and I now get all the way to the air sensor / air monitor and I get no resistance between terminal 7 and 8 which tells me to 'replace intake air sensor'. I'm hoping that will be the last thing I need to fix and get the FI working again. If not I'm going for carbs I think...
but there are 2 different types of air flow meter i think, one has more pins than the other, i will aks a friend though, i have a ns one but would want a good chunk of cash for it, but will have a think
I was being a bit jokey sarcastic with my post, it wasn't meant to be rude, but I forget sarcasm doesn't come across on text. You are correct, there is a 6 or 7 pin one. I think the 6 pin was 74 - mid 76 and the 7 pin mid 76 onwards, (don't quote me on that). I need the 7 pin one if you please.
£2.00? You're a true gent! No probs, was hoping to get it sorted so I can get to Camperjam...I've got the van going into the garage this week for a service etc so I'm going to see if they can cast an eye over the FI and see what they have lying around to get it to work. Let me know how you get on with the refit and if you've got one to sell.
