  1. Hi all.

Am looking for an Air Flow Meter for my 1976 2 ltr FI Westie.

    Part Number: 0 280 200 018

It currently has a broken "0 280 200 020" on it - not sure what the difference is and so that might do too - it has been running with the 020 one on it since I bought it!

If anyone has one available, please can you let me know a price including postage to Oxford.

    Thanks.

    It's a bit pricey! Carbs? ;)

  3. hi
these do turn up on the samba if you keep an eye out .
    cheers steve

  4. Thanks for the replies - I too had googled and found a couple of sites selling them, but as you say very pricey, and so was hoping someone might have a spare one sat in their garage that they might be willing to sell.

Will indeed keep an eye out on the Samba thanks. Am off to the US on holiday later in the year and so worst case will see if I can get one while over there.

Still hoping however that someone may have a spare here.

  5. I've got one for sale if you want it. It's the 0 280 200 018.

Fully working, tested it on my van a couple of days ago.

The only difference between the 018 and 020 is that the 018 was the version number from 1976-77 and the 020 was from 1978 to 79...

The only thing you've got to worry about it if you've got a 6 pin or 7 pin connector.

The one I've got is a 7 pin.

I've no idea on the price of one as they come up so rarely. How much do you want it?

  6. Hi MadFrankie and thanks for the reply.

Yes am definitely interested. Mine is definitely 7 pin and should be the 018 for my year (late '76), so yours sound perfect.

I've seen quite a few on TheSamba going for around the $100 mark, but I'd have to then add postage to the UK (which would be quite a bit) or wait until later in the year when I'm over in the US to bring one back, but I'd rather have my van running smoothly before then.

    e.g. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1160064

Probably easiest if you can tell me the price you want for it including postage to Oxford and we can take it from there. Feel free to PM the price.

    Thanks again.
