anyone recommend air filters for Weber ICT 34. I’m currently having issues with the £20 ish pancake ones.

See current photos and they’re only a year old. Split and bits of rubber breaking off into the carbs.

A filter that blocks carbs - now that’s irony Alarnis Morrisett! Rain on your wedding day, simply is not! 7860BC56-3D17-4E65-A89C-4E87DC95FDD3.jpeg

  2. K&N are the go to filter of choice apparently...

Look nice. £170 for two filters is tasty

Go for the CB Performance ones, they work really well.

Im not sure if they come in pairs or in a kit with the throttle linkage etc

Are those ones for their linkage though?
Whatever you do go for be sure it won't clash with your existing linkage.

Yep, I like the look of these. I’ve added pic. Question - are there two types, generally speaking?

So all look to have a metal mesh, but some appear to be total metal mesh and you need to oil?

Then there are the ones like the pic attached. These appear to have an outer mesh, but may be a paper filter also. If this is correct, is it replaceable, or washable etc? Or do you chuck away every other year and replace ?

If so £35 with twin carbs is £70. Maybe K&n or CB which I assume you can wash and oil work out cheaper after a few years?

Surprisingly there is zero chance information on the websites 4B803B19-78ED-4CBB-B801-F51B4A2BAD93.png

It’s a similar filter element to K&N and CB – usually woven cotton pleated between coated wire screen mesh.

Ok, thanks that’s sounding great. Do you know if these are serviceable? So do they need to oiled and if they are cleanable?

I can ask the seller anyway

It’s similar to K&N and CB, they can all be cleaned and re-oiled.

  13. I used the ones from Eurocarb which I think are the ones in the previous picture. They seem pretty decent quality and half the price of K&Ns . D194CAD5-15DD-4B31-8561-37AC13927E25.jpeg

  14. Yes, you brush the muck out of the mesh/cotton/paper, then spray them with air filter oil.
