hi folks , my 79 crew cab has had a pancake filter since I bought it 12 months ago. I've had idling problems when engine is warm and someone suggested I go back to original air cleaner. Just bought a complete one from a guy on eBay. This afternoon I've been attempting to fit it! 1) there's no bracket in my engine bay that the filter box rests on. I've used ty wraps to support the weight of it 2) I'm not sure about the vent, that I think connects to the pipe next to the oil filler neck 3) there's a a thin pipe that Haynes manual says connects to the vac pipe on the carb Can anyone advise me if I'm missing anything?
