  3. so ctek 7 .... hmmm .....

  4. The 5 will probably do what you need too, from memory the only real difference between the 5 and 7 is the speed at which it recharges the battery, my thought was that for a few extra quid the 7 would be better...

  5. so maybe the 5 - hmmmm

  6. The difference is down to you really. It's all about what you have draining your leisure battery and also how quickly you want to charge the battery.

If it's loads or stuff and quickly then go for the 7, if it's an overnight charge and just the stereo and a few lights them go for the 5.

Both are great units and very easy to fit, like I said 1 plug and 2 leads.

  7. the 7 looks like it can handle more long term ... i only want to by once in the next 10 years so think the 7 may just creep in the lead ... it also has greater amp hours and long term i want a nice big LB

  8. This is the one that I use for charging the car battery and leisure battery as well. It works for both gel and standard batteries and as some sort of computer conditions the batteries and charges. I bought it from Halfords I can't remember how much it was around the £60 I believe. I have used the small trickle charges but this one is the best I have ever used. it works a treat and can really along the life of your batteries.

    Excellent Product February 22, 2011

Due to the recent cold weather and numerous short journeys my battery finally wouldn't turn the engine over or even unlock the doors. I picked this product largely on reviews here and wasn't disappointed. The battery was down to 9.4 volts but the Halfords Smart charger had it fully charged in 2 hours. Great product. Bit on the expensive side but it does it's job well.

Very Good Product January 30, 2011

After reading the instructions it was very easy to link up with my Battery and read the dials etc, checked every hour and after 3 hours the battery was fully charged bearing in mind that it was a Heavy Duty Battery on a Jaguar 2.7 S-Type Diesel Auto. Would recommend to anyone, one of my better buys.

Robust looking unit, gives more information than most regarding the condition of your battery. Recommended.

SUPERCHARGED SUPER CHARGER January 4, 2011
    By EIGER from South Bucks

This worked brilliantly and was an excellent buy, It was simple to use, safe and instructions were clear, though a bigger print size would have helped The leads are a little on the short side but it really is not difficult to work round this. Once connected which was a quick, straightforward operation, it took little more than an hour to do its job. In short I'm delighted with it. WOT IT SAYS IS WOT YOU GET!

  9. thanks panty man .... i am in a real unsure mind set ....

    hmmmmmmmm

  10. Decide what you want to achieve.

Do you want something in the garage that you can whop out and charge up the battery before you go away or do you want something fitted that will charge up the battery and help you stay charged on site.

As with everything the stand alone charger will do a better job than a ctek for just charging the battery but then a stand alone charger won't help you when you are on site.

  11. OK - Just ordered the ctek 7 ... managed to get a new one on eBay which was £10 cheaper than everywhere else as the box was damaged ... thanks all

  12. Oh really, you went for one of those...are you sure it's the right one ;)

You won't regret it, it's a great bit of kit and soon you'll wonder what you did without it...
