  1. I have what is, I think a rare opportunity to purchase a mercedes 1967 250sl coupe Californian 2 plus 2 hard top that is in need of restoration but engine and bodywork where in good condition 25 years ago when it was garaged! Obviously anything rubber will need to be replaced but other than that I am led to believe a bit of rechroming and she would be in reasonable condition! I am assured that it has been stored in a dry heated garage so is still solid!
Has said he is willing to sell for 12k!!
Sorry don't have any piccies as I haven't seen it! Don't want to waste his time if I am not serious as he has to move some old motorbikes and scooters to get at it!!!!!

Any views on good investment or not! They are silly money when concourse condition but I am a realist and with my working conditions and ability I wouldent achieve concourse condition but I could restore to good condition. Burgundy in colour and just a hard top no soft top!! :)
    Wot ya think?
