  2. The Lounge is the Cal Look Lounge

If you're willing to spend that much money, perhaps a bit more, and bide your time, you could get both show and go.

Look up Keith Seume's books for a history of Cal Look, tho there's plenty of free reading on The Lounge.

The basic idea is a good looking bug, dropped at the front, nose down, set up for drag racing, skinny front tyres, bigger at the back. Often dechromed but not always, ideally capable of a 15 second, or less, quarter mile, which would put most Yank V8's to shame.

    Here's mine...

Thanks for showing your bug, it's helped me to realise that if i go for a bug it will either be stock or something substantially 'beefed up' like yours.
What cc and bhp does that beast push out?.

  5. Now, that would be showing off ;)

Here it is at Superfest, about a month or so after the garage shot. I am still working on getting it all correct.

I've never been North of Lancashire, Scotland is on my 'to do' list in the van.

  11. The first things I remember of the cal look monochromatic colors and wing window delete with a solid piece door glass. Mostly drag race inspired.

  12. Yes, that one was a very 80/90's phase.
