So, I fitted it and really wasn't happy about it at all, I reckon it would have come out of the hole reasonably quickly , but more of a bend , almost a hook now so think it will suffice

  3. I never adjusted it after fitting it... sorry. Was just a quick response!

I'm presuming from your original post that any adjustment/ tightening when first fitting is done via the Vespa part.
Asking because my ( non standard) set up has the dog leg at the pedal end and adjustment/ tightening at the ( auto ) gearbox end via a push bike brake cable adjuster.
Thought that dog leg end at gearbox and adjustment a pedal would be easier when the inevitable breakage occurs.

  5. Got yah. It does sound like something similar might just work for you. Will see if I can find one on eBay as I don’t have one. The pin with the split pin through went through the throttle arm and the cable connection is a soldier less nipple in effect but bore like a drilled bolt. The washer and nut are missing on the picture I used above!

Cheers, no rush as not going anywhere and cable is fine ( famous last words) but looking for something that allows adjustment and flexibility at the pedal end.

  7. A heater flap connecter may also do what you need!
