As part of a thorough overhall of a mate's van I'm replacing the accelerator conduit (which was virtually non existent). I've bought the beetle one (as one for a 77 1600 van isn't available) and it needs cutting down. Now I did this to my own van about a year ago and can't for the life of me think how long it should be! I think with mine the engine was in situ and I trimmed it down gradually and fitted it until it all worked properly. This time the engine is out of the van....does anyone know the correct length?
