I had a moment of madness today. everyday on my way to work i drive past a turning where an old beetle has been parked for the last few years and not moved. Today i noticed a sticker on the front screen so i went to investigate... It was from a housing association telling the owner they have 14 days to move it or it will be towed! a bit of digging later and i found the owner and agreed a price of £125???? I rang a mate and towed it to the petrol station, fivers worth of squirt and it almost fired but had a leak from the fuel pipes so that was the end of that for now. its parked outside my place in a parking bay. Now im sitting here thinking what the .... have i done, i have my bay and two mk3 golfs and now a beetle, i didn't really want a beetle! i have to share communal spaces and am already taking the ******* using the amount of spaces i do. need to make some calls for some storage for a while! Any its a 1969 1300, i dont really know too much more about them! The wife wants me to get it road worthy so she can use it..... i dont want another project!!! :- im sure im going to lose sleep over it tonight, anyway here it is....

Thats exactly what im gonna do, get it running and mot it see where im at? helps that im an mot tester too i suppose!! The wife's adament she wants to drive it so i'll let her see how she gets on. I've just gotta store the bloddy thing!
Seems like total sense to me. You've got yourself a classic for the cost of a decent meal for two with wine in my opinion. Thing is a decent meal for two with wine is flushed down the bog within 24 hours. Enjoy your latest project !
