Finally managed to retrieve the data from a faulty camera disk so here's a few more Buses from SA. This Pink bus wasn't for sale at any price until I mentioned £1000 then he was VERY interested.
A couple of Ratty Splitties, virtually the only VW's at a Big Custom Show. (Photos on a thread later) Wide five Rostyles are rare. 1st to spot the oddity wins...............................bugger all.
A double cab pick up with a 'tasteful' Mercedes Radiator added to keep the Toyota engine cool. Yours for £1200 sterling or $1500US (paid into a Zimbabwean account!)
I hope you've got your trailer then I'll take the free one And the second splittys on 4 stud steels, if thats the oddity your talking about..
And finally a couple of the Bus we bought which is now on a ferry back to Southampton. It was hard to spot abandoned at the back of a covered car lot. Ex school bus with a verified 67000km on the clock! Check out those seats! Roof line looks perfect. 1700 Type 4 motor, drove all the way from Pretoria to Durban with just a split vacuum hose as a casualty.
cant understand why no ones set up a shipping company over their , or ......................................................... you beat me to it para
The problem with SA is you HAVE to be there, not like US where it can all be done over the internet and bank transfers. In SA, wheels need oiling, palms need greasing and generally feck all happens without a Cheetah* in your palm. That said, there are bargains out there, I have the contacts now and intend to do a run of buses in 2015, 1 per month. * A Cheetah = Technically it's a Leopard but even South Africans get the English double entendre.
I had a guy contact me from SA with a load of buses cheap, not sure i'd want to do remote trading their though, ok if you know the people but as you say, need to be there really. Nice bus, when does it arrive?
