    Hi Guys
Here are the pictures of the auto stick. I'm having problems with @paradox as you can see the being able to start whilst she's in gear has been disabled with the two red wires permanently joined together.
also, the reversing lights won't work as the brass bit is knackered and doesn't make contact.
That's why I was just going to put a toggle switch on dash for reversing lights.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

That brass bit does 2 things , makes the reverse lights work and make the starter crank , you can buy that bit somewhere

  5. Can you turn the brass bit upside down to get a bit more wear out of it for the time being?

I should imagine a man of your talents would be able to make one out of some brass sheet.

The broken plastic bit looks more of a problem.

Cheers, Mike, I clicked your link, and there it was. I don't need the bit that's discontinued. I need the bit on the stick. Postage is a killer, tho total came to £39.42[IMG]

I think I would get some thin brass sheet, some needle nosed pliers and practice cutting out and folding it . Less than £10 and a frustrating afternoon and I would have that brass bit done...

And £40 for a hard to find classic car part is cheap.

The plastic bit is worn and snapped, so pointless making the brass bit. ;)
