Currently in hibernation (condemned) pending me tearing the engine, gearbox and fuel tank out of it and sorting: fuel breathers and filler neck gear linkage throughout change gearbox 1641 P&B kit got all the stuff, just need time and space and it needs to come down another 2 inches
It did.... someone knocked into it in a carpark and the paint and finish was a cheap n cheerful after it had been derusted so its looking a bit worse for wear 4 years on. ... and I have neglected it in favour of the T25 tart's handbag for a while ... bad hippy. However... the winter surgery has started... took the engine out last weekend, carbs off ready for stripping down when I've made the balcony on the flat sufficiently clean enough to do the job, tinware off ready for some blast and powder coat, 11 of the 12 cv joint bolts off the gearbox 12th one rounded off so time to try out that new generator I've got down at the garage block, find the dremmel, upset the residents and cut some flats into it next time I'm down there. Replacement gearbox should come out of its 4 year long storage, lets hope it still turns... then hit that with the wire brush drill attachment and some HT silver .... more to follow, there is much to do ...
yeh i know lots to do and here's hoping for a mild winter! think there might be a bit of polishing and porting going on too before that all goes back together
Gearbox out Shift rod bushes changed This I need to clean this up a bit though... Blingy tinware ready for when it all goes back together engine goes in the back doesn't it? is this right? nice 1641 P&B set waiting to go on
from this: to this: Needs another coat in a few places serves me right for using up a sticky old tin rather than starting the fresh one DOH! Put a new shiny floor in the wedge too
