75 Westy lowering in progress & fresh type 4 with twin 40's

  1. Just a few updates. The bus has been sat for a year (!) on the drive whilst I have got the T25 finished. It was bought as a fully restored bus but there are a few bits that have stopped it being used, mainly a carb that leaked petrol quite badly which is why it was pulled off the road straight away. Up till now I've only driven 1/4 mile round the block!
After getting it on the ramp to lower it we noticed that the N/S/F wheel seemed to have negative camber, maybe a bent stub axle??? who knows its not there now.

C.E. Weedeater beam with some of Heritage's dropped spindles has the front down ready for the new wheels.

And then the best bit, a 'w' code engine, freshly built weber's, fresh powder coated tinware, CB linkage, and a sgl quiet pack. Hopefully it'll be in tomorrow.

Nearly there and on the road. Does anyone know of a good rolling road round Chesterfield/Sheffield so I can get the carbs set up properly?

  4. File size seems to be a bit too big & I'm struggling to post the pic's :(

Went through Alfreton the other day on our way to/from Uttoxeter!
Could get it there without too much trouble hopefully it will be running and driving, just want to get it jetted up perfect and make the most of the new engine ;)

  7. tried fitting your bumper with the quiet pack...?
    ;)

  8. Thanks for the comments, new wheels aren't on yet either ;)
Oh no, please tell me that the bumper will fit, just had the mounts and bumper powder coated dont want to have to get the whacking stick on them to make them go on!

  9. I can see the back box will be in the way of the drivers side bumper mount going in!

  10. Dunno if you have done this but if the towing eye for the van on the rear bumper iron is on the rh side then it may foul the exhaust
