5spoke ssp alloys

  1. Can anyone recommend the best size tyre to fit onto ssp alloys (empi style) for a 73 bay at standard ride height !

    if you had 185/14 as standard the size i quote are as near as dammit the same rolling radius, big rich knows his stuff but i'm pretty sure i'm right on this.

  14. yep its standard but always seems a bit low on the rear to me. Looks ok for an icecream van!

  16. Forgot to say my wheels are quite old and probably Midland Wheel Services but basically the same!

    we're rolling Gasburners on Yokahama 195/65/15 XL+ reinforced tyres all round & I must say the tyres are excellent and have transformed the ride by a vast amount compared to what it used to be.

    I'd highly recommend them and the insurance company's engineer has approved them

    195/65x15 is 2½ % smaller than a standard 185x14, so when your speedo says 70mph you’re actually doing about 68mph. Those Yokahama probably have a load index of 95 (690kgs) so good enough.
