This threads just got me thinking. There must be loads of people on here who have never spent pounds shillings and pence or lived in a world without mobile phones or digital watches or personal computers.
I was born the year of decimalisation. Had one phone, on a thing called a cord, at the bottom of the stairs. Watch had a calculator! had Vic 20 computer before "progressing" to BBC Acorn Electron!
I didn't have mobile phones, but normal money was in full use by the time I came along. I don't really understand imperial measurements, well, except for pints
