Fuel pipes and Carb diaphragm done Still not quite ready but should will be once I have put the gearbox oil in tomorrow , drained the old oil out , was pretty manky and only had 2.8 litres in it , Haynes says 3.5 litres but is that from dry ?
So nearly ready for techenders except for little thing called a Mot test on Thursday !

Gearbox oil - With the bus flat and level, fill til oil starts to find out the fill plug.

3.5L sounds right.

Exactly what I was gonna put!

 

A fridge, a sink, a Poptop, curtains, a wind out awning and now a windbreak, I'll dig his slippers out from the shed and bring them down on Friday, and I'll see if I can find a nice pipe for him as well.

undo filler plug before you start to empty but also better to let it run for a bit too to warm up oil a bit before you do anything

 

Got slippers already... When i was a lad, my mother was always worried when we went out in the snow that we'd get "chillblains". I never knew what they were, some throwback to the war I expected.
Well, when it was cold i let my feet get a bit cold and one for went a bit funny, itchy, then blisters, then a thin scabby dead looking bit. Doctor didn't have a clue. After muchos googling of skin cancer and the like, as you do, turns out it was a chillblains, Like minor frostbite, so now I know and now I have slippers. No pipe though, that's for early bays.

 

TMI.

 

I had pics of it developing, ready to sue doc who told me to bugger off. Wanna see ?

 

If anyone has got a 27mm ring spanner lying around not getting used that they wanna part with, I'll be happy to help

I got mine from Wikos was well cheap
