    Based in Woking, Surrey.

    Registration: T (1999)
    Model: LX
    Mileage: 67k
No of Owners: 2 (my granddads car and I owned for last 9 years or so)
    Colour: State Blue
    Mot due: 30th March 2018
    Doors 5
Wheels - Standard with good tread on all tyres. Matching Wheel trims in good condition.

    Good Bits:
    • Long MOT
    • No Advisories at last MOT (following the work that was done)
    • Genuine Mileage with proof.
    • Generally good condition for year.
    • Engine very good and responsive
    • Heater Matrix works (often pack up on Fiestas)

    Bad Bits:
    • Poor spray repair on rear door lading into rear quarter. Noticeable up close. Didnt bother me as its is at least the same colour
    • Intermittent fuel smell from rear quarter. This is likely to be where the fuel sender is as that was replaced within last 6 months.
    • Digital LED Clock missing part of the digits at times.
    • Heated Rear Window switch gets stuck on at times when you use. Tends to sort itself out or you can get a nail on the edge of it and pull it out.
    • slight fading of rear number plate but nothing that warranted mention at MOT in March

At the last MOT it last failed on these which were rectified

    Reason(s) for failure
Offside Outer Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded sill (5.2.6)
Nearside Rear coil spring broken (2.4.C.1a)
Nearside Rear wheel bearing rough when rotated (2.6.1)

    and there are no advisories

Frankly the car is not that bad and when I got my first car it was in a much worse state than this. if you need a first car or a runaround you cannot do much better than this imo.

The car doesn't owe me much and already had a scrap price for it. So I looking to see if anyone wants to take it off my hands for 300 quid ono.

Please don't waste your time or mine if you aren't genuinely interested - and I am looking to get car off the drive within the next few days seeing as the new one comes Saturday

Any questions feel free to PM or post up here

  3. Far too good to scrap, great cheap low mileage car for someone.

Tell all your local friends and get them to spread the word

  5. I do like a smiley faced Fire Star
If it wasn't in Woking and blue, I'd be all over that like a fat kid on a cake.

  7. Lol.. Would love a drive to Scotland but only in the camper. :)

  8. Bring the camper and tow the car up with you ;):D then you'll get some beer money for the holiday lol.

Scotland is great in a van, especially up the north west coast (apart from the midgies)

    a funny story really!

I put it up on ebay after it hadn't sold on Gumtree and the listing had 3 days left to run, 9 watchers no bids. I then get an ebay message asking for my phone number to which I replied and gave it.
I then get a call and the story goes a little like this..

Caller: Hello mate whats the lowest you'll take for your fiesta.
Me: Its an auction so happy to let it run, there is a bit of interest. I guess though if someone offered me 250 cash now I would take that.
Caller: Where about are you in relation to the m25.

At this point I explain where I am and it turns out he says he and his mate have broken down on the M25/A3 and is looking to buy a car so he can drive back up North (Stockton-on-Tees area) around 270 miles. At that point he and his mate will get the part they need and drive back to fix their vehicle.
At this point I am trying to work out is this a scam and how am I being hoodwinked. So I start researching his ebay username, his purchase history and mobile number.

Caller: The thing is mate as we have broken down can you drive the car to us?
Me: Sorry but there is no insurance on the vehicle so I cant drive it
Caller: Can you give me a taxi number then?

So i gave a couple of local taxi firm numbers and he said he would call back.

Caller: Taxi firm wants 45 quid to get to you.
    Me: That sounds quite steep.
Caller: The thing is if we pay that we would be a bit short on the money.
Me: Okay well you'll need to get petrol and assuming you got here I was going to drop the price by 20 quid so you can chuck that towards fuel. So lets call it 230
Caller: Okay thanks pal - see you soon

So around 30 mins later a taxi pulls up and two guys get out. I invite them in and ask if they want a cuppa (they don't) so we then look at the car.
One chap asks if there is spare - (there is), the other starts the car, tests the brakes, puts it in reverse and checks the clutch biting point. Turns the engine off and says we will take it.
By now it seems a genuine buyer.
He then opens the bonnet and proceeds to check fluid levels and then closes it back up. (Obviously I am watching like a hawk still)

We go inside to do paperwork and I shows them the various log books, mot certificates etc and when we come to do the V5 he says he will fill in the trader section....
This surprised me as I wasn't expecting that so I was trying to figure out if there was a con here and that maybe i wasn't signing something correctly.
One of the chaps hands over the 230 quid, and i explain they will need to get some fuel from the local garage and that they shouldn't trust the fuel gauge (due to the sender issue which I advertised).
I give them back another 20 quid to go towards fuel as by now they seemed genuine.
We complete the deal and the car was gone.
From them arriving to them going probably less than 8 mins.

So the funny part to this story is they run a small Recovery and Transport business up north and it was their recovery vehicle that had broken down. They were going to drive back up north to get a part to fix it! To get their vehicle recovered was going to cost best part of 880 quid so they decided to buy a car instead!

the following was a text exchange from today. I feel like the car helped someone out and I suspect they'll make their money back easily up north.
