  1. Here is my truck. Just lowered it 50mm and I love it. [IMG]

  2. I love it too.... :-*

  3. I had some exhaust leaks on the header pipes and the muffler was split. It was pretty much like that when I bought it and has never had the o2 sensor hooked up. It also had two dead injectors which I replaced with some spare Audi injectors I had in the basement. So to hookup the sensor to run lambda, I needed some sealed up headers and muffler. Found some from a 2.1L motor and installed them. She is running a lot cleaner now boys! Lol. Next will be a new distributor because I am most positive the vacuum advance is jammed up and not functioning. Here are some pictures of 2 weekends ago at a Jetski freeride. 4. This week I bought to new rear wheels. The tires all need to be replaced but summer is mostly over and she will be getting stored soon enough. I switched tire sizes slightly. 245 45 16 is what I had and now I got some hankook 245 50 16. I like it. A bit better ride. Next spring I am going to do the front tires. They will get 225 55 16 tires to smooth out the front ride quality. I changed in a new fuel filter. Topped up the oil. And I advanced the timing a few degrees. I was getting a heavy stumble and rough idle for the past few months since I got the o2 sensor hooked up. I am not sure if the points in the distributor wear out and pull timing or if it was just not setup well before. I have it running a lot better now though. We camped in the back of it again last night out by the lake. It was a chilly morning. ;)[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  6. Thanks. I got the vw to haul the ski but now I just want to sell the ski to fix the vw more. Lol.

  7. I got some go westy treats this past week. I am going to have to pull the veedub outta storage this long weekend. I also bought a 1996 passat tdi as a donor vehicle. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364428026.824003.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364428053.905459.jpg

  8. The grill and headlight upgrade was so nice to install. I got the hella outer lights with 80/100w hi/low beams and the relay kit for them. I love it, well worth the money. I can't wait till its dark enough to go try them out !
Tomorrow I install the " sport" shocks and extra battery/isolator. And if I got time I will install my 1000w inverter. Ah it's so nice to have the veedub out again.

  9. I like this lots

  10. I will wash it up a bit tomorrow and take some sexy photos of it. Lol. I got some nice used front tires on It too over the winter, they are same width but 55 series instead of 50. So a bit more rubber for a beefy steet truck look. Haha.
    Stay tuned.

The new front shocks and tires have made a very noticeable different in handling and comfort. Very happy with that install. I also got my second battery and isolator installed. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364689293.670432.jpg
A new rear LED interior light.

I had a good day installing all these items. The weather was beautiful and is pretty much the first day that actually felt like spring. I got a few more things to do before it hits the road for the season. Hopefully this week...

  12. Taking stuff apart. I am almost ready to yank the motor. Maybe tomorrow I will have some time. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365170629.769602.jpg

Well I managed to remove my tdi engine from the passat. All I need to remove is the gas pedal yet and I should have everything I need from the passat. Cool!!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365336849.891818.jpg

  14. So I got a tip from the tdi forum about how to delete the hydraulic pump and a/c compressor. Slick setup and lost some clutter off the engine. My truck is begging me for a transplant. I think it knows what's coming. Lol
Eco modding I think they call this.

  15. So I shall give an update to my truck. I have been busy replacing the gas tank with a brand new one I found from a fellow veedubber in London, Ontario.....Canada. :)

Here sits the ski hauler until a new fuel sending unit is installed, the wire connectors snapped upon the crusty removal.

I need to get this tank in and get back to hauling skis to the water.

I also picked up some old 1.6 turbo diesel parts. I may or may not use the k24 turbo. Still doing my homework on that one.

    Till next update...

  16. I was able to install the gas tank in the nick of time before the long holiday weekend. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1369050093.664333.jpg
I needed to bring it camping and wanted to make sure it would get there. The campsite was my back yard so no problems. Lol.

Great weekend for camping and veedub bing. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1369050330.342088.jpg

  17. Thats one cool back yard:thumbsup:

  18. Is that the roof of a car in the water behind everyone? Who parked where and why? LOL

  19. Haha. That looks like a reflection from the red dodge truck. I am surprised the dirty creek water makes a reflection. I think I should have a vw weekend camp out show and shine in my yard instead of just Jetski geeks.

    ;)

Got some other projects in the driveway. 74 westy in need of some love and a little 84 diesel rabbit I rescued. The doka has had a very nice parts replacement tune up. As of today's tune session on it I am happy on how it's running. I got the wasser dialed in real nice. I can even pull a boat out of the lake.
