I've finally decided to sell my camper having owned it for 9 years and covered the sum total of 3500 miles in it. Underneath the paint which was done around 5 years ago its a very solid bus with no rust that has never been welded . It was imported from California just before I bought it and it has been kept in a dry barn ever since. The interior is complete and fully functional including the 3/4 R&R bed, Westy fridge, top folding bed, front hammock, leisure battery and 240v hook up. I've just completed a 200 mile round trip to Download Festival with no issues. It could be used as is or repainted in the original green, (I have 5 litres of paint). I'm putting it up for sale as it is but if I have no takers I'll paint it green. The only other job I'd do is to replace the N/S rear 1/4 panel (which I have) as at some point in it's life it's been dented and has been repaired the American way with a ton of filler! I'm located between Peterborough and Spalding and can take any other pictures if required. £14,000
It's always a joy to see your lovely bus Paul, (and you, of course!) so I'm sad you're selling. Hopefully someone will love it as much as we all do, and it will find a good home. It's a crackin' bus and a very fair price.
Isn't it funny what people look for in a bus? I've had a couple of people look at it with their "expert" friends and in both cases the "expert" friends were trying to persuade them to buy it due to the fact that it's so solid and that's almost all that matters. However in both cases the prospective buyers preferred the "pretty blue one" or the "twee orange one" even though they're both more money, freshly painted and as rotten as old pears underneath the shiny underseal . I'm sure they'll find out the hard way next spring.
That just jolted awake the inner sleeping demon that was thinking about it a while back .... I mean, if it means I'm "sensible" Mrs D&D can't complain Seriously though, had it not been LHD (we've been there) I might even have dared to mention it! Think of those buyers as source material for your sit com notes
