Eventhough it was about 5.5 years ago, I remember it like yesterday. A good friend of mine had told me about a year prior about a Bus sitting in a guys back yard off of South Dakota Ave. in NE DC. I figured the guy would never come off of it, so I never went by to check on it. Turns out the guy had a 75 280Z, the Bus, and a 68 bug sitting in his yard. He wanted the Bus and the Z out! I ended up getting the Bus for free, and my friend got the Z for free to!!!! Tittle in hand! It was one of the best days of my life!!! I even slept in her until the weee hours of the morning (my wife was screaming at me to come inside) that first night. Later on, I'll do a little blurb about what I've done to her so far. My money and time have been slow with my bus because I have had so many other projects at the same time (1987 vw cabriolet 16v swap, new motor for my 2000 BMW M5, 2003 Audi TT, 2008 Audi A4, 1979 KZ1000, 1996 GSX-R1100, 1984 Mercedes Benz 300T, 1984 Ford F250 4x4 with a 460!, and a 1995 Buick Riviera Supecharged). I have gotten rid of the Buick, TT, F250, Mercedes, and currently parting out the Cabriolet. Keeping the Bus, M5, and both motorcycles, so now I have a little breathing room for the Bus! The Bus is currently in the garage getting a welded, adjustable beam, narrowed 4 inches, rear 4.5 horseshoes, dual batteries, and a 3000watt inverter. Rear is complete, front should be done by Dec. 26th. Electrical work should be done in January. Here are some pics of what I've done in the past to her.... Enjoy! Bus currently has paisley green, and brown curtains. Hidden Rockford Fosgate punch amps, and 10" Punch single, sub. My bus has a very clean look t it. Wires are all hidden and I wanna keep the 1979 basic look inside, and out! Future mods this year will be: beauty rings, 19-70-14 whitewalls, new 7" touchscreen head unit, rear disk brakes, front brake upgrade, front, rear and interior lighting upgrades. Next year will be airride!!!
