Hey late bay! Up for sale unfortunately is my 1979 vw bay window camper which has just recently had a 2.0litre 63k mile engine from a subaru put in and it is an animal now ! Honestly I didn't expect it to be as crazy as it is the acceleration and torque is just so much fun and being a subaru it's reliable everyday! The only reason I'm selling it is I'm going off to do a uni course and won't need my car or flat so will have no where to store it The spec on the camper is very high it's easier to explain in person but here's a summery: RHD uk model type 2 converted van New pop roof fitted by previous owner 2.0 litre subaru engine from a 63k full subaru history car (have proof) Alloy rad twin 12inch fans operated by a auto switch to come on at 93degrees Mocal oil cooler with fan wired to same as rad TSR Engine conversions adaptor plate Custom subaru - vw flywheel Up rated heavy duty clutch New clutch cable Shorted alloy sump for more oil capacity but more ground Clearance Equal length manifold / exhaust Induction kit Inline aps Motorsport 300hp fuel pump Has had 3 oil and filter changes in last 2 months since engine conversion Properly converted sugar wire loom so no loose wires or extra plugs Interior Subaru seats up front (can include originals not in best shape) Mountry steering wheel and boss kit Empi short shift Led bulbs in dash Water gauge (reads 40* higher than should) Wooden rock and roll bed less than 6 months old New high quality black carpet Good seat / bed foam could do with retirm Recently painted white throughout Led strip lights Extra cigarette lighter in rear for phones / tv / fridge in back high amp wiring Front cig lighter for sat nav phones what ever Electric front heater Twin charge battery set up with both battery's fitted ( trays could do with rewelding) New fuel gauge and sender and wiring Newly fitted wood panels covered with chequered Brakes New pads New disks New calipers New drums New shoes New wheel cylinders All brake pipes checked any poor pipes changed New front wheel bearings Around 3 weeks old not even bed in stops perfect! Suspension Lowered all round No knocks or bangs no play to parts Recent rear shocks Wheels American wheels 15's Rear center caps included not fitted in pics New rear tyres Good tred front tyres Bodywork Probably the only part that let's it down slightly The car was a rat car before I got it and started to work on it so there is panels welded onto what's believed to be good metal to add to the effect The top half is raw then laquored so won't rust but looks rusty underneath The bottom half is painted flat blue only recently and comes up great when washed and polished Overall the car is very capable of being a reliable daily and will go off the clock on the speedo which stops at 90mph! Which has MOT and currently taxed and used daily! My plans was to finish it off and add rest of the campervan insides and get the top half painted I didn't mind the ratty outside with flat paint adds character and really really surprises people on the road! Honestly come have a look don't even waste your time with aircooled it's slow and unrealizable and slow!! This is a solid base that's almost complete just needs a few touches or enjoy it as it is! I know I'll regret selling it but I'm gunna need to money and have no where to keep it! Send me a message for any questions if I remember more I will add on to here the spec is so much custom it's hard to remember! Plenty more pictures most taken today added on here http://s29.photobucket.com/user/rc_mad/library/Vw 1979 camper scooby engine MOT till August 2016 just regreased rear shafts, all the grease nipples and checked over suspension and brakes again can do a deal to include the coilovers im selling for a quick sale 07577847540 Grab a bargain before summer if the car doesn't sell by end of the auction it will be put in storage till next summer when it will easily get double the start price! £9000 located in Milton keynes
