Finally decided to sell my late bay project Started life as a panel van back in 1978 so it's on a "T" plate and has got the Viking roof conversion I’ve owned her for 5 years and done a complete metal work restoration Parts replaced are starting front to back Front inner valance Deformation Panel Front panel Genuine front arches Half cab floor repair Drivers side middle panel including factory recessed window panel Drivers side inner and outer sills and B post repairs Drivers side rear arch Fitted factory recesses rear window panels to both sides Lower repair to passenger rear arch (passenger side sills and arch replaced before my ownership) Genuine rear corners up to the swage line Inner and outer rear valances and local repairs to the D posts Both battery trays Chassis wise, I’ve replaced all the outriggers with Autocraft ones Had to do a few localized repairs to the top hats and cross members Also have a complete rear floor that I’ve modified to fit (only LHD available) just needs welding in Also I’ve replace all these parts any other bits of rot have been chopped out and replaced with new metal The roof has been replaced too, with a import sunroof model roof from the states The cab doors are in great nick but are repo ones (without the swage line in them) The sliding door is a proper factory recessed window slider which ive put a bottom halve Autocraft skin on I’ve also fitted an engine inspection hatch Parts wise, I have pretty much all the bits apart from the engine, 1 middle piece of glass and the front indictors and rear lights There is no interior in the back, but I do have the front seats, complete dash and new door cards The Viking roof is in ok condition but could do with a new canvas, I have modified the bed frames at the top to suit the factory sunroof hole in the roof, so that if need be it can be easily converted back to a sunroofed tintop All the running gear is present, front beam, brakes, rear suspension and gear box So to recap the van is now rust free with many new panels fitted using genuine panels where available, or the best panels available, I have pretty much most the parts to complete apart from an engine, she needs filler work and paint to finish and make a really nice solid bus Reason the sale is that now I have my Scooby powered T3 on the road I’ve lost my mojo for getting the bay finished, so now I’ve completed all the hard work it time to pass her on to someone else The bus is located in Stafford and viewing is highly recommended and welcomed I’ve spent a small fortune and have put in a shed load of hours, I know I wont recuperate the money I’ve spend and don’t expect too so with this in mind I’m asking £4000 for the van which I think is a good price for a solid RHR bus that needs only the cargo floor welding in (which I can do if needs be), paint and engine, which once completed will be worth in excess of £10000 I have a fair amount of history in way on receipts and old MOT’s dating back to 1990, it was last MOT’ed till 2011 I also have in the region of 600 pics of the restoration work I have done This is the link to my resto page http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/my-viking-resto.845/page-17#post-840263 Please feel free to contact me via PM and I give you my mobile number Cheers Stu
