  1. Here we have my pride and joy of nearly ten years. Restored from the ground up and nothing missed. Restored over a number of years and hundreds of hours invested I would say she is 90% being complete with only minor aesthetics' and old for new to be completed.

I have kept a blog of her restoration from start to when I was last able to work on her, see below you will see no stone has been left un turned.

Below is what I can remember carrying out - there has been so much!

Tax free and and mot free (Mot’d every year up until she was stored)

    1600cc
Full exterior re spray in 2016.
New all round doors - the last of the original Brazilian vw panels.
Every panel replaced from the centre swage line down with genuine Vw panels or Alan Schofield panels
    New glass all round
Complete chassis rebuild (in my resto blog)
Front cab including cab floor and tubs completely removed and replaced
Complete brake overhaul, including stainless braided lines and break compensator rebuild
    Steering box rebuilt
Engine stripped - new gaskets and gearbox bell housing gasket replaced
    Flywheel skimmed and refurbed
    New clutch and bearings
Fire suppression system in the engine bay.
    New heat exchangers
New front beam that is powder coated for extra protection
Full front beam rebuild with new bushes and bearings on the control arms with the new bump stops and rubbers.
New front shock absorbers and torsion bars
    New brake master cylinder
    New heat belows
    Complete electrical overhaul
Full racing grade fuel line upgrade with a 20 year guarantee
Fuel line overhaul and tank overhaul including filler pipe (that was a bugger of a job)
    Leisure battery
    Fridge
    Hob
    Hook up
    3/4 bed
Alfa Romeo front Momo leather seats (also have original seats if you like them included in sale)
Loads of odds and sods to go with
An awning (well used but lots of life in it)
    Solar panel
Solid oak interior bespoke to the van (I made because I’m a joiner )
    Front passenger swivel seat
Pop top replaced to Match colour of the van bespoke made by a sailmaker in Bristol from original VW templates.
    New leather door cards
Full dashboard strip and rebuild including VDO pressure voltage and temperature gauges
    Insulated
Waxoiled within an inch of its life every year since rebuild
    Under sealed and stone chipped.
    Upgraded inertia seatbelts all round
    New bumpers front and rear
    Twin carburettor upgrade
    New coil pack
Restored to as modernly original as I could.

The only cons I can think of is (there not actually cons as there not detrimental to the van itself) there’s a few interior bits left to do but I’m slowly working through them I.e. a bit of upholstering around the pop top, replacing old bits for new etc, and it needs a new front headlining (£60) and the sliding door lower bracket needs replacing (£62.00) so it can be properly adjusted and the the rear torsion beam end caps could do with replacing.

My reason I have to (don’t want to) sell it. I literally have no time for myself with two babies, a house restoration and a job to juggle. I’m in no rush to sell and won’t if the right person and price doesn’t comes along. Blood sweat and my marriage has been on the line for this bus so she won’t go easily and I’d have to let it go to someone that will actually get the enjoyment out of it we had and reap the fruits of my labour

She has been stored for the last 18 months and it isn’t right for all my hard work to go to waste so I would love for someone to blow off the cob webs and get out and see the country in her - what we used to do, and what she’s supposed to do.

I’m am going to keep remembering things as I don’t think that’s it, but I’ll send through any more info I can think of.

Oh also I have a whole binder of receipts etc for everything.

Sold as seen, I will not accept offers without viewing. £19500 OVNO

    Located in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

photos below and yes the most important photos of all the important bit are to follow. But wanted to get it on here with the photos I have.
