This is Marvin - Our 1977 VW T2 Bay Window Campervan with Devon Conversion. We have owned him for about 10 years and have used him for regular camping trips. He has recently undergone a full body-work restoration by Kev at SGS Aircooled. Work included: new A Pillars, Front Arches, Rear Arches, Rear Corners, New Sliding Door skins (inner & outer), New Rear Bumper, Battery Tray & Battery, Wax Oiled, Full Respray, Full set of replacement rubber seals. Plus a whole load of other tweaks that Kev added to make sure he's look top-notch. All invoicing of works carried out is available along with a looong history of receipts and details of servicing back to 1981! Albeit some of it written in the margins of the Haynes manual. The engine is a stock 1.6L and has been rebuilt in the last 10 years with only 4000 miles since 2012. Starts and runs perfectly. Recent MOT (Exp April 2023). The interior comprises a full width rock 'n' roll bed with 2 x 3-point seat belts installed - so two child seats can be fitted no problem. The two original Devon bunks are still fitted at the roof line. This would be perfect for a young family of 4. We use it with an awning (which will be included in the sale). The original devon pop-top has seen better days with a few tears here and there. But it still does the job and is more or less water tight when up. He could do with an interior refresh to add some home comforts. We originally had a leisure battery with split-charge going to a fuse box under the rock-n-roll bed. The battery was removed during renovation - but it wouldn't take much to re-install. This would be perfect for someone who needs a rock solid van but would like to add some touches to the interior - while still being able to use it to take the family away camping. This is a reluctant sale - but my family is now out growing it and he's ready for a new family to take him on adventures. PS - Engine seal was added after the photo was taken.
