1977 Aquadub Combi

here is my late bay combi from 1977...
originally was with 1700cc type 4 engine but one of the previous owner replaced the engine and the gearbox with a type 1 1600cc.
I bought it this summer in july and after almost two month of daily drivin' I decided to replace the dual webers 1600cc engine with a stock CJ type 4 engine but with the two 36IDF webers which was on type ! engine.
the bus is restored and airbrushed a few years ago but it's a looong long way to say that is a finished project.next step is the type 4 engine and the interior ...and depends on the budget ...will be lower this one too

soo....finally some updates with my van...
now a used 914 freaky D-jetronic engine ,now MOT and ready to run
after 5000km in less than one month is running really good but without any kind of heating is terrible on the road.

We drove from the top of Germany right down through to the end of the Black Forest this summer and barely saw a single T2 on the road.

Someone told us it was because the emissions laws in Germany have virtually banned them - is this true??

 

on my way to Brussels...were I am for a few days,I counted around 6-7 combi and campervans and many many T3...through Hungaria,Austria,Germany and a little bit in France.
I was living in Berlin for 3 years and no emmision laws banned me to drive across the towns or highways....and if they are...ignore and just drive it 8)
