Needed for around february time, maybe slightly later...lol..., passenger seat for 1976 dormobile. Would prefer an upholstered one if poss but not essential, also would like sizes of the width, front to back, and height from underside to top of rest. Just throwing the feelers out there. Sorry, do you mean that all passenger chairs have this or are you telling me that my van has the metal back cut out?? bit confused sorry.
The front passenger seat was adapted by Dormobile from the stock VW unit. The cooker being folded against that bulkhead meant that the stock seat gave insufficient clearence behind to allow this. The steel bulkhead remaining as stock. From the sound of it you may not have a Dormobile conversion, possibly a Devon or are you using Dormobile purely as a generic description meaning camper rather than the company of that name?
hi. Yes the back of the passenger seat bulkhead is gone, i was wondering why this is. I am planning to fit a third seat in the middle of the two to bridge the walkthrough, we were originally looking for a bench seat, but we are looking at the possibility of keeping the originals in place so as not to remove them from the restoration completely.
