1973 Westy

  1. Hello Bay Owners.
I'm new to the scene & wish to introduce 'Gotcha' my ex Californian Bay.
Although it's just arrived on these sunny shores last Friday (I live on Jersey), the previous UK owner of last 5 years bought in from a 35 year straight single owner - the name came from it's original US reg. Very pleasing to have all documentation, handbook, service history - in fact every item is recorded over it's 40 young years. Yesterday, I took it to register locally & after a full 4 hour check on every possible item - the inspectors couldn't find a single advisory other than get out a use it...!
Last year I rented a late Westy in France for fortnight - they just get under your skin.
I really like this one & although it's the first one I looked actively at - I just knew.
I hope you like it & I'll be off exploring France with the family (dog included) soon.
BTW - do you know if the 240v UK hook up connects directly with French hook ups or do you need an adapter?
    Brendan
