Pic Heavy.... 1972 VW T2 BAY DORMOBILE CROSSOVER ROLLING CAMPERVAN PROJECT. Engine: 1641cc twinport. Rebuilt by TES in 2006, original single carb and oil bath air filter. Alternator conversion, Standard vacuum advance distributor. All tin plate is there except for the over gearbox piece. Standard exhaust and heat exchangers. Body: Walk through Dormobile conversion. Twin skylights and twin vents. Twin bunks, one needs a new sleeve. Full width rock and roll bed. Cooker under passenger seat with original air shield. needs new hose. Empi trigger gearshift. Storage space above the engine. Shelf. Tow bar with electrics. When we first got Lola, she was rusty, as any vehicle of this age would be given the British climate. Over the years the following have been replaced or patched...... Front 'Y' shaped box section at the front of the chassis. Deformation panel and lower front skin. Beam is patched and regularly greased. Holes patched in both front mudguards and cabin floor. Behind drivers seat, drivers side sill and outer skin. Outriggers on drivers side. Replacement panel over passenger side rear mudguard, Patched and solid rear tubs. Sliding door lower repair section. Later doors fitted. All of the bottom welding has been done except for the rear valance...which needs replacing and the rear corners which need some patches. All of the welds are visible as I was going to grind and fill all of the repairs prior to painting. This is a rolling project, she has been MOT'd every year since 2009 and used as a daily driver, I'm selling her due to relocation. She has had two new CV joints recently and comes with a list of spares, some for a later Bay that I thought might be useful someday. £ 6000 ono
