FOR SALE 1972 T2 Bay RHD Viking

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by Helen Hogan, Oct 5, 2022.

  1. T2 1972, RHD, 1600cc Petrol, 4 berth, Viking Roof. I have had this van for 10 years ago and enjoyed using it in the periods in between substantial body restoration. The van is now in good working condition but needs to have its interior done. Due to work and other commitments I find I’m not using her as much as before and feel she should go to someone who wants to stamp their mark by creating a personalised interior.

The details: 80,224 miles, stock 1.6 L engine. Regularly serviced and MOT to July 2023. ¾ RnR bed frame and 2 child bunks. Accessories: Box of spares, winter cover, new drive away awning.

Here’s some of the work undertaken during my ownership:

Complete body and paint restoration: all jacking points, cab floor, all wheel arches, seals including windows and roof
    Electrical rewire
From 2018 the van has been looked after by G’day Kampers in Oxfordshire. They have undertaken:
Lowering including fitting replacement front axle beam, joints, shocks
New fuel tank, headlamps, Weber twin carbs, fuel lines, spark plugs, gear shift, clutch
Engine top end rebuild, new cylinder heads, HT leads
    Power steering
    New battery June 2022
    Detailed invoices available.

    £16,000 ono.
    Oxford

  4. Lovely van - can I check what colour code it is please? Looks very similar to my own :)

  5. Sorry to say that I don't know the name of the exact colour. I wanted a blue and the chap that did the body work looked for one that was closest to the original blue colour that the van would have had.

V nice, despite the lack of a VW "nose")
If I were looking I'd be there in a shot, and that's even though I'm one of the few not keen on the look of an open viking roof.
GLWS ... Should be gone by Christmas :)

  7. The naked face resulted from the spare being moved to inside. Agree that needs doing. Thanks for the encouragement.

  8. Good bus, well priced.
    Easter's best time to sell.
More punters on FaceBook Market, better quality of folk here though.

  9. It looks like a Sea Blue , Originally a Split colour ..
