  18. No new pictures for now, but making progress. I found that the wiring was mostly a home brew re-wire, so I got a loom off Rapidfit with the extra stuff I wanted (hot start relay, wires for Firetec LEDs, towbar loom). Installation wasn't entirely smooth, the loom needed some small modifications and the new indicator stalk from VWH was fitted and then found to be defective - a bit of a time waster there. Took a bit of argument to get a replacement too, the first guy on the phone told me no return as it had been delivered last September. Got the replacement and it works OK, although TBH the quality of some of these parts is not as good as I would like, especially as the early replacement indicator unit is £130. A new headlamp switch and all of the basic electrics are now working OK.

The van will be collected on Tuesday, so by the end of the week the glass will all be back in (new screen), the engine in and the van running and ready for MoT.

Got a set of spare wheels of davidoft, so I can recondition one set while the interior is sorted.

  19. LUSH !!!!!

  20. On the trailer from Paul's place to get the engine back in, MoT work done and glass put in. MoT test and registration to follow.
