FOR SALE 1968 Earlybay White Westy - Advertising for a Mate

Discussion in 'Non Late Bay Classifieds' started by Alex VW Heritage, Dec 8, 2014.

  1. This prototype bay Window, April 1968 (46yrs old) is, in my opinion, the best one available at the moment, in a realistic price range.

If you are looking for the quintessential VW camper that is, functional, classic, great condition, reliable, useable, Westfalia, tax exempt, will increase in value, look no further.

I had intended to keep this bus and that is why it is in such great condition, (house purchase forces sale) I am still using it most days, over this winter I had planned some basic maintenance such as, the original sink and water pump were to be installed into units, as was the period two ring cooker that would be functional inside and outside of the camper.

The rest of the interior is ready to put your own stamp on, all the panel cards are new as are the carpets and vinyl, there are too many bits and spares to list (see photos), all of the original parts that have been changed by me, are included. Fiamma bike rack, set of four BRM wheels and tyres bit tatty lacquer peeling.

This camper will pass inspection if you have been looking for a long time and have seen many campers that don’t come up to your expectations, come and have a look at this one, bring cash because you will want to drive away happy.

Bit of other info for the bus,1776cc dual 34 webers, vintage speed tuck tail exhaust, engine cut off switch, set of four brm's, Jk cover, new front seat hammock, waxoyl throughout, well maintained, lots of original bits.

    £15K ONO

    Sensible offers considered.

Viewings can be arranged, We are based in St Leonards on Sea, (South Coast Nr Hastings)

In all seriousness, its a good looking bus and with the list of what comes with it, is priced very well indeed!

  11. Awesome story about this van, Roger would be able to fill you in better than I, but it travelled some far flung places and this was one of the weird fix it with what was available modifictaions which Roger chose to leave as its part of the history of the van.
