Hello old chums putting my splitty up for sale due to needing more bed space. Didn't think I'd ever sell this bus but If it's not big enough for the family then I'm better off with a westy. I have a dormy roof but I don't have the heart to cut the van up So here goes: Bodywork: Very Solid with amazing patina (especially the roof) Funky stripes painted on the sides and tailgate . my guess is done in the 70's . It's had minimal welding to get it completely solid . All using autocraft repair panels . Paint blown in where necessary . Roof clear coated . all the hehr windows stripped down and rebuilt . Cab door tops stripped and rebuilt . Wolfgang safari Windows fitted interior : Original interior was completely rat infested at some point and they didn't take there sh*t with them when they moved out . I was left with no choice but to completely rebuild the interior . I built it using the original as templates and it took me uncounted hours the only parts missing were the folding door table and the door cupboard . I have since built a cupboard using pics from the samba archives as reference . and I sourced a door table . I have a custom sized rusty Lee bed on order to replace the outdated original , which allows for the original arm rest . this can go with the van for the asking price but it isn't built yet . 2 seatbelts in the rear . One three point & one lapbelt . engine & running gear: the engine is a 1600 which has been fitted at some point before I bought it .fully serviced at the start of the year , never missed a beat . bug tech shifter (which is amazing) buttys throttle linkage . Dropped spindles up front and down a spline at the rear . So ideal if you want to go back to stock height like I was gonna do . Or you can slam it if you want to take it to the next level and be down with the kids .... probably loads of stuff I've forgot so Il add info as I remember . My sides have verily split assunder with much merriment. Nice bus and cheaper than a builders van too.
