1963 samba sold for $217,800

    this samba went for auction a good while ago. It also had a very thorough and extensive, no expenses spared restoration...not that it justifies the auction tag though!

  8. Totally useless motors. Uninsurable anywhere where there's people. You'd be scared to let the kids anywhere near it. Too paranoid to park it at Tescos, or drive it on grass or narrow hedgelined lanes.. If you can't use em theyre useless!

  9. It certainly is a beautiful bus, of that there is no doubt and I would happily give a body part for it - but all I can think is that there must have been a serious case of auction fever in the house that day!!! :eek:
