12v TV Reccomends?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by moortarn, Jul 22, 2014.

  1. Morning all, I'm looking to install a 12v TV in Clarissa, has anyone got any good Reccomends that are not to pricey?

  2. Don't do it!
Sit outside & watch the world go by instead.

  3. stay at home and watch TV, go away in camper and do fun things.

  4. I had always had plans to fit a TV when I first bought my camper! That was 2 years ago & with a few camping trips under my belt I can honestly say I'm glad I never as I've never had time to watch it :D

The kids have their ipads & we download them a load of stuff off iplayer for the journeys but even they seem to find other more interesting things to do once we arrive at our campsite & Mrs Robo enjoy the downtime usually sitting out with a drink & talking!

Life becomes very busy when you both work full time plus the house jobs, kids etc. its nice to escape to a quiet campsite & unwind..

@moortarn I think you should edit this thread to have a vote.

    Tv - yes or no?

    :)

  6. If you really feel the need to wath something make it on demand iplayer or downloaded movies you just need a tablet or laptop which I am guessing will be more power efficient

  7. I fitted a cinema screen and a projector. TV sucks, but drive in movies ROCK!

argos 19 inch tv's are 12v (transformer plug) you could cut the plug off or get a cigar lighter lead

  9. i begrudgingly have one, it was from Maplins, i personaly have nothing to do with it, it only comes out on bad days, then i bugger off and sit in the awning, crocheting. I blew the first one up. 12v red positive, black earth, oops.

We had an avtex TV for a while. It was a passing phase. Like others said best to keep camping camping though we sometimes watch an ep on the iPad.

My advice is iPad or the like. You can also play solitar too :)

Crocheting is actually good fun. We have made an awesome blanket.
