  1. When I want to be suave like Bond, I ride this. A fair weather rider only, I might be viewed as less than cool by some. A legend in my own mind…my wife says.
Bond rides one of these in ‘Tomorrow Never Dies.’ 15 of the BMW R1200 C s were used in the making of the film, of which 12 were destroyed.

  2. I’m guessing you’ve got some great riding roads where you are!

Nice old BSA, what model is it?

  5. I think it's a Goldstar ?

  6. Thanks, it’s a 68, single carb Thunderbolt. A pretty reliable bike actually, but with lousy, drum braking. :)

  7. Ironically my least favourite BMW and my least favourite Bond film :D

    That BSA looks lovely :hattip:

  9. Haha, I hear you…that bike is a bit like fine wine. You either acquire a taste for it, or you don’t. As for the film, I only skipped to the bit where the bike shows up. I far prefer the looks of the BSA. The bimmer looks interesting from certain angles, and at a distance and if it’s to be aesthetically pleasing, then you have to squint real hard! Beauty ride though…

  10. My dream bike, but then I'm an airhead already so somewhat bias

  11. Ah, glad to hear that someone else out there appreciates unique, motor art. It is said that ‘form follows function,’ whatever that means! Chrome heads are thin on the ground out here, so one day that rarity should create desirability.
