Thought I’d share some pics of my Rolling Resoration. I’ve had this bus since 2003 . Paid £3000 back then for a pretty decent van. The original interior was in pretty good condition but the bottom 6” of the bus was pretty much made of rust or filler.
Over the years I’ve gradually made my way around getting work done by a local restorer and tackling parts of it myself on my drive. I shared pictures on here when I tackled the gutters on my drive, under a tarpaulin
I’ve been lucky over the years that I’ve always been able to use the Bus for Camping every year while getting work done during the winter. My local restorer Richie (from Retro Revivals, in Skelton) has looked after us over the years then over this past year I decided to bite the bullet and let Richie do his stuff....
I’ve had on going discussions with my Missus about what we’re going to do about the interior. She wants to fit all new units and have a modern camping interior. I have been trying to convince her that we just need to try and renovate the original Devon units. I think taking out the original will take away a part of its sole.
I also had that decision to make, ended up changing things, decided to make the rear cupboard slimmer to give more room, from that I needed to make new seat and bed cushions then new curtains in a different material.
